  2. Senegal Mission: A step forward Africa Mission. Plan to send a couple of church members to conduct survey and establish a communication line with the local Christian people. Knowing that Senegal is one of many Christian unfriendly places in the world. We have people in our church so brave that they are willing to commit to such missions as establishing long-term Christian relationships with local Christians, planting seed for disciples and leaderships, and starting God’s work in place for future growth in Christ.
  3. India Mission: Support individuals who are passionate to India Mission by praying together, by bringing financial assistance, and by keeping our faith in God.
  4. Shoe-Box Mission: We have one Sunday School class, adult 4, dedicates to this mission. Once a year prior to Christmas, we collect toiletry to make Shoe-boxes church-wide and send them to ____ , which in turn sends to Mission field in the world.
  5. Johnson County Women’s Prison Ministry: Provide 50-60 stamped envelops every month so that Johnson County Women’s Prison Minister, Mrs. Lois Burton, can deliver them to prisoners, by which they would be encouraged to communicate with their families.
  6. LifeGate Ministry: Have been supporting since 1994 both spiritually and physically for the leadership Johnny Hendrichs and the way that The LifeGate Ministry operates. The ministry focuses on homeless people at around Fort Worth downtown. The ministry usually distributes food, clothing, toiletry, shoes, anything that might be helpful to sustain and even get out of their less fortunate situations.

The Missions Ministry is composed of:

Chairman – Mr. Young Choi

Members – Mr. Richard Waters, Mr. Tony Perez, and Mrs. Claudette Huddleston

Advisor – Pastor Larry Sanders and Mr. Lynn Russell

The Vision Statement – “Te reach out to fulfill the Great Commission throughout Tarrant County, Texas, America, and to the ends of the earth.”

Mission Update

Hispanic Church (Pastor Eloy Gonzalez) Update: Pastor Eloy Gonzalez and his church members had finished searching other churches close to their living areas in which they could gather together to worship God and spread the gospel to Hispanic people. After their wholehearted searching a church, one thing clear to them is that our church (THBC) is the way God leads them in faith. Dr. Sanders and church leaders faithfully encourage pastor Eloy to constitute a church with full autonomy by which they can grow in Christ as church for Hispanic community and beyond.

Plan Trip to Navajo Reservation: Dr. Sanders made a short trip to the Navajo tribe in New Mexico October 31 – November 2. Dr. Sanders would provide his verbal report.

Annual Mission Update: Mission ministry pitched to the congregation the annual Mission update on Sunday, September 23.

Mary Hill Davis Offering Ended: The total amount of offering is $1,831.50 as of November 4, which is more than any recent years.

Church Web-site Update: Mission Team updated Mission Ministry of the Church Web-site.

 Future Plans (Near Term)

Plan Trip to Saltillo, Mexico: Mission ministry has a plan to visit Emmanuel Baptist Church in Saltillo, Mexico in November so that both church leadership can sign off the “PARTNERSHIP AGREEMENT” and further discuss missionary events for 2008 and four (4) more years to come. Mission ministry also would like to revisit some of the people whom we had met either their homes or in the streets during the outreach activities at Saltillo, Mexico last March.

Lottie Moon Offering Promotion: Mission ministry has planned a promotion presentation for Lottie Moon Offering mid November.
