“Membership has its benefits” was the advertisement. When people become excited about the cross, the church is given new life. Scripture recognizes this in Hebrews 10:25, and warns us “Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another. . .” Activities in membership include:

It is exciting to see new Christians begin their journey of faith. We feel a strong responsibility in jump-starting that growth process with one-on-one encouragement during the first six weeks of the journey. Using a solid doctrinal study guide as a tool to look at the Christian journey, new Christians are given valuable information and a strong friendship to begin their new life.

In the second chapter of Acts, the new church was distinguished by their willingness to gather together and pray, worship, learn and eat. Throughout the year, we continue this habit of enjoying our extended family. Obvious times of church-wide fellowship occur during holidays such as Thanksgiving and Easter. But it really doesn’t take much of a reason for us to get together.

Our church family takes advantage of seasonal opportunities to participate in sports activities:

  1. Fishing tournaments/camping trips  (spring)
  2. Twilight golf outings  (spring and early summer)
  3. Softball league  (spring and summer)
  4. Variety of 5K runs  (year round)
  5. Canoe trips  (summer and fall)
  6. Ski trips  (winter)

Annual music events take place at Christmas and Easter.  These events range from traditional cantatas to Dinner Theaters.
