Giving

Stewardship is about managing assets: money, skills. time, and talent.  If we claim that all belongs to God, then we are responsible to God for the stewardship of all he has given us.

The committee is responsible for setting the potential giving for the new year, orchestrating the development of the new budget, planning and implementing all types of educational opportunities to better enable the church to manage their financial resources, and monitoring and managing the financial resources of the church.

Trinity Hills Baptist Church is involved in an intentional, strategic attempt to integrate stewardship into the entire life of our church. The goal is to become a generous church.

  1. Strategically teaches generosity
  2. Leadership models generosity with their lifestyle
  3. Responds to needs of community and individuals
  4. Uses resources (money and time) to serve others
  5. Intentionally seeks opportunities to give
  6. Possess sufficient resources

This goal is an effort to increase our awareness of stewardship in all of life and the blessings of living as generous followers of Jesus Christ. Links to resources:

The Generous Life

Planned giving includes a variety of giving methods. Most people give cash gifts from their income. Planned giving typically involves gifts of non-cash assets such as real estate, securities, retirement funds, insurance policies, collectibles, and business interests. Gift planners can help you consider gifts of assets within the context of the financial and estate plans of your family.

  • Outright Gifts. Cash and non-cash gifts
  • Bequests. A will or revocable living trust. Bequests can be a specific asset (i.e. real estate, bank or investment account, automobile, etc.), a specific amount of cash, a percentage of the estate value, or the remainder after all other specific bequests have been made.
  • Beneficiary Designations. A primary or contingent beneficiary of a bank account, investment account, IRA or retirement fund, annuity, or insurance policy.
  • Gifts That Give Back. A charitable remainder trust (CRT)

Trinity Hills Baptist Church has always been supported by the members of the church. However, your support does not have to end at death. There are ways to structure your estate so that it will provide for family and other needs as well as continue providing income to your church. Please contact your tax or estate professional to help you make these arrangements. We recommend the following:
