Evangelism

The Lord Jesus Christ tells us in John 14:6, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” Jesus is telling us that God’s forgiveness, heaven and eternal life is only through belief in Him as Lord and Savior – there is no plan “B”. Despite what people think, say or do, their lives are eternally impacted by their rejection or acceptance of His claim. That is why Jesus charges us to share the gospel.

Church Visitation

A major purpose of the church is to promote evangelism in our families, our community and our nation. If motivated from a deep, abiding concern for the destiny and welfare of others, then a priority should be placed on becoming relational with our community and inviting them to join us in Bible study and worship. We actively visit those who move into our community and get to know them.

Special Events

Over the course of the year, we sponsor various activities which are fun and entertaining to the community. One such event is our Fall Festival, which is a great time for visitors to enjoy the changing of the season. Food, games and much more make this a family fun time.

Good News Club at Western Hills Elementary

Our Evangelism ministry has been participating in a Good News Club at Western Hills Elementary School once a week after school. The Good News Club® is a ministry of Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF). Each week the children are taught exciting Bible lessons, music, scripture memory, missions stories and have fun with games or activities focused on each lesson. The children will hear the Gospel and have the opportunity to trust the Lord Jesus as their Savior.

All Good News Club volunteers/leaders must go through a background check. If you are interested in this ministry and want to learn more, please contact the church office at 817.249.0704 or visit the website for Child Evangelism Fellowship at https://www.fortworthcef.org/.

Evangelism

Just what does it mean to become a Christian?

It starts with recognizing that we are sinners who are lost in this chaotic world. We are separated from our Creator by rebellion, ignorance and selfishness. The only way to bridge the gap between our lostness and reunion with God is surrender and confession of our need for a Savior. We cannot do it for ourselves, due to our sin nature. Only Jesus can be that mediator. He offers us peace and life as we accept his salvation and lordship.
