On November 28, 1984 First Baptist Church made a down payment for the property the church now has.  First Baptist Church ordained Mike Williams on April 26, 1987 as pastor of the new congregation.  On June 3, 1987 six adults met for the first time.  First meeting in homes, then at La Petite Academy on Highway 377, then Westpark Elementary School, the church continued to grow.  In May of 1990 the construction phase of the project began with completion in October.  The Mission was constituted as Trinity Hills Baptist Church in 1990. 

Dr. Michael Williams resigned to accept a professorship at Dallas Baptist University in January 1995.  Dr. Larry Sanders accepted the call to become the pastor of the growing flock in July 1996. Room was needed to expand with the growing neighborhoods.  In June of 1999 construction began on the expansion.  Dedication of the new facility was on April 9, 2000.
